Afternoon all, after some advice. In the market for a new bedchair. I have narrowed it down to the Solar bedchair or the Avid benchmark. Anyone have an opinion on either theyd like to share? Any other recommendations? £240 max price. No need for a full sleep system.

Is the stand alone bedchair the same bed as the sleep system?
I've got the sleep system and it's mega comfortable if a little heavy.

Cheers mate i believe so but im looking at the Solar bed chair over the SP Tech model. i believe they are same design but a 2D matress instead of 3D on the SP Tech. Its £100 cheaper.

I had a bedchair which was really comfy with a memory foam mattress. The problem with it was that it weighed a ton, so I changed. I wanted something comfy and lightweight. Looked on tinternet, but in the end I went into the local tackle shop and had them get every bedchair out and tried them out for weight and comfort. Tried an Avid one, was lightweight but not very comfy. Ended up with a Trakker one, just the job. So you need to try them out, what's good for one person may not suit someone else. Realise it's a bit tricky with lockdown, but it's an important bit of kit to get correct, you spend a hell of a lot of time on it!!

I can only recommend what I've used/am using and currently have the wychwood tactical x which I'm more than happy with.

I am a side sleeper and I cannot lie on a memory foam mattress (after 2 min I have to get off)
For me, the Solar BankMaster / Sp and the Trakker Oval was the best, Fox duralite mattress felt also oke.
Solar Sp is air-pocket matras, Fox duralite and Trakker oval is high density foam, no idea what BankMaster matrass is
Best is to try a few it is so different for every body
