Been offered a virtually unused mk2 technicat with lots of extras cheap. Very tempted, however have seen very little about these bait boats. Anyone use one, are they any good?

Great boats IMHO and without question the best model that AT make I had one it was brilliant

and not boasting but just to give you an idea of my experience
I have owned and used 5 boats a Viper Icon ,Viper Euro, Anatec Mono, Deliverance and an AT Technicat mk2

Thanks for that. The sort of feedback i was hoping for. I just don't get why so few people seem to have them, almost as if they're just not in fashion for some reason.

have had a Mk2 for about 5yrs, absolutely superb. Even my tackle whore mate sold his bait boat to get a mk2 like mine as he thought they were the bizzo
My only annoyance is that the door retaining pin/lug needs 'shaving' every year or so as the spring looses its tension, but not a problem.
Perfect for carping and towing out big baits for pike on huge waters

Sounds spot on, hve told the chap i'll have it. Looking forward to my lake opening again so i can use it

A good boat and very stable in the water. As with all boats make sure you don't pack it away wet and look after the batteries. You want to avoid any repairs by being on the ball with the maintenance. AT take the wotsit with their service charges.
