looking to purchase some new baitrunner reels, rear drag, looking to go around £100 each, any recommendations.?

I guess most people would advise Shimano's or Daiwa's, but I would definitely check out the Mitchell Avocast 7000FS, I've had a set for a few years now, and they're spot on. There's a couple of new ones for sale on eBay, currently at £46 with 2 days to go.
New ones are about £70:each from tackle shops.

Shimano xaero 8000 or 10000, a little over budget, but decent reels, wider spools, single handle, rear drag.

im far from a Shimano fan boy and think a lot of their range is over rated ..... however for me they cant be beat on traditional baitrunner. Go for X-Aero if you can stretch to it

If you're shelling out the dosh for the Shimano X-Aeros, you may want to consider the Penns, a similar price I think. I haven't got these, but a lot people on here rate them.

Issue with X Aero is line getting trapped behind the spool - common with the Aero system on some of their big pits and spinning reels I have used as well. The humble 10000/6000DL at £80 a pop is the sweet spot in the range. Unfortunately, Shimano have really dropped the ball in recent years and a lot of their reels aren't what they used to be. I still have 4500B's that I use for cats and the difference in quality/performance compared to todays offerings is huge. Even the older XTEA's were better than the top end Aero's on sale now.

Agreed ... the XTEA or XTRA RA Super Baitrunners are streets ahead of modern stuff and the best baitrunners ever made imo

Shimano for me also, still have some 4000's from circa 90/91, not looked after one bit and still going, whilst they may not be as good these days as said the DL's will be fine I'm sure.
