Hi which would be the best size to go for for the pva bags. Small/Large? And what size is most often used?

This time of year typically for the places I fish you only want to put a limited amount of bait in so I'd go small.
Ultimately it depends on the venue your fishing.

How far do you want to cast them and what weight can your rods handle ?
Even the small bags can weigh 4.5 oz

I've Daiwa Infinity rods 3.25 TC. Maximum would be 120 yards.

get the large if you are unsure - you can always make a smaller bag from a large bag, you cannot visa versa.

I only use the 1 size and that is the 55mm x 120mm. A 4oz lead plus contents goes
