Is it possible for a beginner to get 2 budget Freespool/Baitrunner reels for the odd day session for under £100?
Will only be using 15lb - 0.35mm mono and casting maximum 80mtrs.
The rods they will be used on are 12ft 3lb T/C

Think Okuma do some cheap freespool reels, the Fox EOS 10000's aren't far off this price. Sonik also do some but they hadn't meant to be that good. You may get some lower end Daiwa and Shimano second hand ones, have a look on Facebook Marketplace.

Must admit I get very confused with reel sizes. Some of you recommend 6000 - 8000 and even 10000.
My current reels are 4000 size match & feeder reels so 8000 - 10000 sounds massive to me.
Due to low stock shortages in my local shops at my price range I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to buy blind off the Internet.

Most internet buying sites have good info on the reels they sell, so before you buy have a look at the spec of your chosen reels and compare them to the ones you have now.
Look at spool capacity and weight which will give you a good idea what to expect.
If you only need to cast 80 metres then presumably you are not fishing large lakes so big reels with large spool capacity's probably aren't needed.
Assuming that's the case then I would think a 6000 shimano would be fine for what you need but I would also check the spec of the 4000 and 8000.

All the reels mentioned will do a good job for you, the Okuma Inception a good smaller big pit reel can be had for £50 so bang on budget. As already stated a Shimano 8000 is a decent sized all rounder
