Have mad respect for the guy, his videos were the ones that got me back in to fishing few years ago, although my fishing is not similar to his style with the short rods and mobile type. I respect the guys passion and energy.

I think he's a good angler,and loves his family..
Few yrs ago,in a local tackle shop,got talking with a chap,I'd say late 20s..and he was telling me he had been fishing a local ressi..and that this guy was perch fishing near him..he continued by telling me this chap was the spit of AB,and went up and chatted to the perch fishing guy,saying omg mate your like Alan,but he catches way more than you...!!
I turned to this chap,who was by now browsing the Nash board,and I said that was Alan...you probably pissed him off...lol

I'm not bailing out , as you should say it how you see it . Alan seems a nice bloke , meet him once on a lake and had a little chat .
But , the questions we not great , iv noticed these interviews are trying to be to deep on the question front , and on more than one occasion you could see in his face he thought so as well .

I disagree. In my eyes they dont go deep enough. To much skirting round certain subjects. Everyone worrying about who they might upset. The Carp fishing industry and certain individuals all seem to be portrayed as all sweetness light. And as we all very well no it is far from that at times.

Took my 25 year old daughter to a carp show the other year, her aim was to see Alan as he's her angling idle. She was to shy to go over so I asked him to say hi, he came straight over and had all the time in the world for the two of us. Genuine nice guy
