My mind works like this blokes, I do have a line fetish....... however I keep it quiet I don't post twice every day asking about different lines. But to help you out mate, fluoro is horrible to fish with unless you really want to fish with a slack line. Out of the fluoro's i have used x line does out perform the others.

I agree. I don't really see the point in it as a mainline tbh. The negatives far outweigh any positives (the only one being it sinks quickly imo). I had 20lb x line on a set of reels for a while and absolutely hated the stuff.

Dont you feel flouros main benifit is in naked end tackle set ups, but its a pain in the arse, i cant find a mono that works as well as flouro when fishing a naked helicopter set up.
Feel free to point one out.
Im very similar with lines and cant find anything that seems to tick all the required boxes. In the end though the OP really has to try the lines out themselves, in the fishing situation they are most often in as most modern lines are useful in some situations when those qualities make them worse in other applications..

I'm with you there.
Fluoro beats mono in more wayS than the other way around.......doesn't cast as well behaves like a **** on the spool.
The pro's (for me)
More abrasion resistant
Sinks better
Much less stretch
Less visible (unless going through the water after some time)
There's a time and a place and application for all lines. Mono to me is more of a jack of all trades master of none. Only use it when rules dictate
