Can anyone recommend anywhere to buy just the needles, for inserting into my own handles?

Thanks, it seems to have a fitting already on it to fit onto a Solar handle. I am hoping to buy from the distibutors that sell to the tackle trade.

Search for small metal crochet needles. Might find something you can insert in to your own handle.

Before baiting needles were a thing I bought 2 0.75 crochet needles still use them. Good as knot tiers and pullers too.

pretty sure I've read something on the solar geeks page on Facebook, that the solar needles are some sort of sowing machine needle.

Schmetz make a safety barb needle, they have a part no on the side.....I'll look at mine if you need me to?

Thanks for the replies. I remember the crochet hooks we used to use, they may be a possibility, would probably need the shanks machining down. Had a look for the Schmetz safety barb, but haven't been able to find them. Found the easy thread needles, but the cut into the eye seems to be in the wrong direction, ie you would have push the hair through the bait, rather than drawing back through. I'll keep looking.
BTW this isn't a commercial venture just a bit of fun. My son does a bit of machining, mainly making alloy parts for RC cars. So thought he could knock up a few custom anodised handles.
