Plan on making some popups, due to boredom, and 2kg popup mix gathering dust on the shelf.
Besides MC + SSA, what other blends have you used to good effect ?
Was Hutchies original recipe 3ml MC + 2ml SSA or vice versa ?
Anyone tried SSA with a fruity twist ?
Why are sweeteners used in popups ?

Don't know about the rest but I think sweeteners are added to counter any bitterness from the elevated flavour levels used in pop ups.

Is it possible to get pH values for different flavours sold ?
What are the most common pH-changing ingredients used in popups, nowadays ?

I've used SSA with scopex at 3ml of each and with tutti at 3ml tutti to 6ml SSA both per egg in pop ups or per 6 eggs in a normal base mix.

Must say I've only used the tutti combination with the Nash version of SSA but the scopex with both Nash and Hutchinson versions both have caught me plenty of fish but my favourite is the scopex/SSA There might have been a mil or two of Nash crustacean oil in there as well but that's not available any more.

I used to use it at 2.5 mils of each and did very well at these levels. no need to go higher imho
