Debating spraying my bivvy when I'm on the bank next anyknw know thE best spray paint to use ? Is it something I can do on the bank and still sleep the night in it ?

Halfords do a camo spray mate, Black, Brown and Green in the can, shake for two minutes and it comes out camo.😉

I've got 3 of them to shield me in enclosed swims so I can keep Sky off the lead.
I wouldn't dream of spraying a bivvy with paint.

It doesn't do them much harm, seen a few decent ones over the years, I personally wouldn't do it on a new bivvy mind you.

i have sprayed most of my bivvies over the year and never had any problems just don't do the paint too thick or it will crack and flake off, build it up with thin coats.
does effect the re-sale value but I keep my bivvies till they are not worth much anyway

I have just painted my old evo with fabsil.
If I was to paint it would it not last very well as it would be sticking to the fabsil and not the bivvy fabric

I also painted my tent, but once I bought some paint with a peculiar smell, I first thought it was necessary to air out, but it was not there. It was impossible to breathe, and the smell did not get out, and like a tent stands all day in the fresh air, the smell remained. It was awful; at first, I tried to get rid of the fragrance of all kinds of fresheners, then folk remedies, but nothing worked, I thought about throwing it away, but luckily a friend advised me cannabis smell spray . It was a lifesaver, so when you buy it, check it ten times before spraying.

Can't think why on earth anyone would want to try and paint their bivvy? Good grief, has the OP lost their marbles or what - any breathability it had would be gone and I doubt the paint would adhere or be waterproof. If you really are that desperate to have a camo bivvy, go and buy one. My Aqua Fast and light has a camo overwrap, no painting required
