Looking to get some mini big pits in the coming months, have 3/25 tc Free Spirit rods to match them with ( CTX I think they are ? ) - 40mm bottom ring, pretty soft action and will be for use on mainly small UK waters but the occasional French trip thrown in and just need some more cranking power compared to my shimano baitrunners.
Always wanted fx9/fx11's ( not seen them in person so not sure which size I would need )

But what are the alternative from Shimano / Daiwa that are also smallish in size ? and any other brands / models to consider ?

not looking to pay huge amounts - similar price to the fx9/11 or a little more.

Check out okuma 6000 inc. A lot of reel for 50 quid

I have FX9's & Okuma Inc6000 ... The Fox feel the nicer reel and i prefer them to Shimano equivalent (had them in the past) and on my 12ft rods but the Okuma's are lovely on a 10ft rod

the okuma 6000 inc are really nice reels just wish they had a folding handle like the baitrunners .

I am waiting for the baitrunners to come into stock so I can see if they will fit the 6000 if they do I will be getting the folding handles for them
