Apparently GLT is now run by Terrys' son who is (allegedly) a complete helmet, hence the patchy service.
Good luck finding any GLT lines. I gave up and I'm using Gardner Syncro XT. Been a longtime GLT user but since things started going south over the last few years, I'm giving up on GLT.

No thanks. Google Birmingham Angling and a website pops up, click on the link and get diverted to some noddy club. I wouldn't trust phoning up some random number linked to Birmingham Angling, plus, how sh*te does a well known manufacturer have to be when it's only possible to get the stuff from one place... with some sketcky link to a noddy club?

Sorry mate. I find the whole thing really questionable.
Glad you're a happy camper and it turned out golden for you. Myself, I'll stick with stuff that's easily available and can be got hold of from multiple sources.

I'll keep my eyes peeled and see what happens down the road. Maybe it's just a bump in the road. Something I did hear from a very good source was that since it's now being run by Terrys' son, it's not the same. I can't say either way as I've not had a problem with the recent stuff. Really like the Pro Clear I've been using in 16lb.

Yeah I phoned last time I ordered and they took address and payment over the phone. Line arrived a short while later in a hand written envelope. Felt like I'd gone back in time but in a good way.

Ordered a spool of ProGold over the phone recently.
They were friendly, line came through quick, in brilliant shape (looks brand new mint, and using it on the lake feels exactly like it did in the past) .
No problems.
