Anybody gone fishing on day ticket lakes now lockdown has loosened up and are the lakes crowded?

The reason I asked the question was I want to go fishing but was told on the TV that there was large queues trying to get into some venues.so I didnt want to turn up and cant fish.Why is this such a unreasonable question?

I stay away from day ticket lakes at the best of times, wouldn't dream of being on one now.
Would rather be home with the wife or walking the dog.

If your going to fish a day ticket lake then look for one where you have to book on then only a certain amount will be allowed on so you wont have all the craziness with people queuing up to get on etc.

I missed opportunity to join reasonable club, with good lakes. I was on waiting list and turned down offer due to Covid-19. Now kicking myself, although they do have tight constraints, as their return policy - must book/ numbers on lake restricted and no night fishing, which is sort of understood.
So, slow off the mark again, I can't get into a commercial lake (that appeals), as demand is so high. I see it as bank withdrawal, everyone's is mad for it. Kent based, still searching and trying to book something before mid-June. I think some fisheries are playing of the return during pandemic to make money - min booking 72 hrs, no flexibility.
Hoping ‘bank withdrawal' is like old times when June 16th saw every swim taken, give it a couple of weeks and the novelty wears off OR is it carp fishing it just so popular now.

I had read somewhere (was it here?) that Oxlease sold out in 45 seconds or something ridiculous time though quite how that's possible I don't know. went once, never again. A literal ****hole.
What you need is two months of rain to keep the fair weathers inside watching YouTube and arguing on Facebook. Couldn't face most day tickets at the best of times, never mind now.

Cannot agree with u about oxlease, horses for courses, clean, nice fish although swims too close together, not everyone's cup of tea but far from a xxxxhole.

It's not the fish or the environment that's the problem on many places unfortunately.

Ah you mean some of the dickheads that fish there, point taken but linear cannot be entirely responsible for that.

After phoning around found a lake that wasn't crowed about a hours drive from me three and a half acres and there was 6 people on it including my mate and me. Only caught about a dozen small carp up to about 8lbs but like all of us just needed a break from all the stress and a bit of fresh air.

You'll probably find it is a mix right now, dependant on the responsibility of the management.
Some are probably jam packed, nose to tail, every swim full, yet others will be every other swim, no socialising, keep your distance.
Must admit I've been ringing around looking for somewhere to fish, although my problem is I need somewhere that allows dogs.
