Hello, I currently have a mk1 fast and light which I havent used for years but have decided to go back to using it this year (when we can) might try swap my tempest air for one, but my question is does the space save make that much of a difference ? If not then it's not worst the swap.

Yeah id say it does, you can sit back on the centre of your bedchair, compared to the mki

Ive got both a fast and light and a v1 and v2 air there's no way id do that swop the tempest air is so much more easier to use and you get more useable space and no swatting your head on the centre boss
I use the fast n light for days only

I recently bought a MK2 with the overwrap and did several nights with it before deciding to not bother with a Bivvi anymore. I can get a Fox Flatliner pretty much to the back, a large barrow bag to the left of the door, my bait boat to the right of the door and still plenty of room. I am 6'5" and can sit on my bedchair with no issues and haven't hit my head once.
I fish a couple of pretty windy open waters and again it has been pretty bombproof. The worst part of fishing for me has always been having to think about packing up and struggling to take down a bivvi, the MK2 goes down a dream and I keep it in an old Aqua quiver for ease of use which also has pockets for the storm poles, my floating sling and some longer banksticks. Can't see me ever going back as could quite easily do a week under that.

The Tempest is the better shelter with more room and better coverage but the mk1 feels like I am fishing and not camping. I love it. I feel like I am back in the 80's but without a black bin bag over the end of my
bedchair.

get some CCP front panels for it , whack them on and its a great shelter for a brolly design.
