It's looking like I'm going to have my French trip cancelled and unfortunately I was a little too prepared (or excited) and purchased all my boilies in winter as they were on special... So, I've got the 30kg of shelf life boilies and 25kg of pellets in my garage and I'm sure the best way to store them for potentially a year? It's not as simple as using them for my ‘normal fishing' as I‘ve also purchased by session boilies at the same time
It's needless to say that I'll be very generous to the fish next time I go fishing to help reduce the accidental stock pile
I've soaked the boilies in oil and coated them in powders for France but seeing that's unlikely to happen I wondered what you're doing to store the baits originally bought for France?
Current situation - They're in air tight black buckets in the garage and it's fairly cold inside.

If you have that quantity of bait try something you wouldn't normally do for example heavy prebaiting or heavy baiting during the session (when we can go!) it may provide excellent results

If you have a river near you that holds carp when were allowed out go for a walk and find some spots and do a bit of prebaiting.
You will be surprised by what size fish are in some of the rivers for example not far from me is the chelmer which still has some decent fish in

start pre-baiting your usual venue during your daily exercise.

Im kind of in the same boat, I actually bought another chest freezer as I couldn't help myself when all the post xmas sales were going on. ive got 100kg+ of particles and 50kg of boilies on top of what id already got for my English fishing. I hope they are hungry once we finally get the ok to start again.

Why dont you see if a fishery owner wants them to feed his fish while in lockdown?? Im sure they will if the price is right. You might have to take a loss on what you paid but atleast you will get some money back

Why not just reschedule the trip for later in the year?
Sorted.

Im confident we'll be fishing again before long. I'll still be using it all, and more.

Boilies should be ok if left sealed and cool, you could bag and freeze them if you have the space?
Pellets usually have a 6 month best before, if stored in a cool & dark place should be fine for a bit longer but maybe better to use them within this time.
Always better to have more bait than you need just in case!

Just keep somewhere dark and cool mate. I am sure many will spend months in warehouses anyway.
As soon as the UK waters reopen get yourself pre baiting some amazing spots

They will be fine left in a cool dark place.
I have the same issue and have pushed my French trip back by three months, I will have no concerns using my bait.
If you keep the bait cool and in a dark place it lasts a lot longer than some would think.
