I am fishing a new water that has a leader ban and as such all you can use is rig tubing or nothing at all. Whilst the water is very weedy, there are no snags to be concerned with and you can drop your rigs by hand from a boat. Given the weed, I have loaded up with 18lb Syncro XT which sinks like a brick, but I have never fished without a leader of some kind before.
I want to be able to drop the lead if a fish becomes stuck in the weed but am really struggling to find a lead arrangement that works to my satisfaction with rig tubing (ESP anchor tubing). Would you guys recommend going "naked" in this situation and if so, would you still feel comfortable using a lead clip arrangement on just on the mainline, or even an inline drop off set up? I am sure that it is juts a confidence thing, and we did catch fish before tubing and leadcore, but I have become so conditioned to always having a leader that to now set up without one feels very odd.
What do you guys think and is there something else I should be considering here instead?

Unless you're fishing over sharp gravel or mussels or using soft braided hooklinks you should be ok with just a leadclip and tail rubber.

If you have to dump the lead the MCF dumper clips are very good. The only time you loose the lead(normally) is with a fish on.
You mention using synchro it sinks like a brick. I use 20lb sensor when fishing in this way as it tends to be a bit more neutral and sits on top of the weed instead of sinking in. Cheap as chips and reliable as well.

You sure it's not the linkteq thats banned? Cant be the tubing surely? It's just tubing?

really you also should be thinking about the strain of carp your fishing for, if they are leathery fairly scaless types then no issues fishing Naked at all - but if they are scaley I'd reconsider as its very common to lift scales during the fight.
Years ago on Horseshoe it was banned to fish without tubing due to the high volume of scaley carp in the lake.

IME weed adheres to braided tubing better, on a few waters I fished it'd get a build up of drifting slime weed on it 1st which then helped it get trapped in Lilly stems. I always tried to fish over the weed/snags into the clear patches, I'd never have used a heavy sinking line in those situations.

Why does the tubing make any difference to the lead arrangement? Don't understand why if you're using a lead clip set-up the tubing does anything different to stop it working to your satisfaction? Sorry if I've missed something - just can't see why it's a problem...

I always use tubing for a fish safety point of view I don't want to lift any scales
