I am in the market for a set of ATTs bite alarms and am wondering if its worth holding off for The Big One at Farnborough. Will I get a deal or shall I just do it now.

I'd get a second hand set off eBay mate, if you're sure they are what you want. Always loads on there boxed up and ready to go after a few nights on the bank. Gardner aftercare is also second to none, it's often Lewis Reed himself who gets back to you.
Although ask yourself why there are so many sets up for sale before you buy...

spend an hour or 2 on the phone ringing around for the best in stock delivered price
Then when you go to the show you will know the price to beat and you can try haggling with the sellers
If the main dealer for ATT is there its very doubtful they will come near the discount prices Simply because they CANT really undercut their dealers or they would go nuts

I think Att's are like marmite some love them others hate them due to no noise coming from head which some people don't like after they've bought them hence the resale of them. I like them as a bombproof alarm positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion

I wish there was an alarm the size of the att, which had a drop back tone and the true run technology of the RX+ to stop the nuisance bleeps, or are there ones I've missed??? 🤔

I had a set of neviles converted to do just that, and added attx deluxe conversion, the range is miles better than fox or delkim, neviles are bullet proof compared to the rest just gotta work on getting delkim battery life out of one

Not the drop back facility but they do have something regarding the nuisance beeps - cant remember what its called. basically the same magnet cannot set the alarm off twice in a row, for instance if there is a blow on and bobbins are 'bobbing' up and down slightly then only when there is enough line movement for a second magnet to go over the sensor will the alarm trigger (i think all that makes sense).
i like them and have had them for a number of years and are ideal for my needs across large and small waters - simple, great battery life, reliable, lightweight.

Lewis Read mentioned on Carpradio last year that Gardner were 'working' on an alarm (maybe with ATT I dont know ) -
I think a simple, as is, ATT design with a speaker on the head an on/ off switch and no bleepy buttons might find a few fans.

General question, how much roughly do IW x 3 with snag backs and a Deluxe receiver go for second hand nowadays

i bought 3 last year with hangers and receiver for about 175 quid

As lots of people say, have a look on Ebay, I picked up a set last year for £135 three alarms and a receiver, sent them to gardner for a service, £40 with new batteries. They really are a great set of alarms, I've had Delks and Fox before and these are the best I've owned!
