The thing is with carp angling, is there is no way to properly aim your products at a specific market without a hell of lot of your un-intended market also coming across your products. For example, I have absolutely no interest in buying a £400 Mulberry hand bag, yet the company manage to sell bucket loads due to it's reputation and it's ability to advertise in the correct spaces. The only way for carp anglers NOT to see adverts for stuff they neither need or want is not to follow said companies on social media, or not to buy the magazines. So, a lot of the time you only see products through forums, or when your pals on social media (many with the same mindset) share the adverts and take the proverbial.
It's not ideal for companies, but that's the way it is.
Companies don't have the print to aim their products neither. Niche products you would find in TC may not have ended up in BC. Many people will blame paper costs for the magazines dying, but unless someone can explain to me why 8 train spotter magazines can maintain custom via WHsmith, yet the biggest participation sport can muster less, than I still believe that it's our own inability to adapt that caused their decline. One of the reasons being a £60 piece of metal being the most spoken about product since the Spomb released, with hardly anything inbetween.
You cannot re-invent the wheel in this game anymore, nor can you bombard people with crass excitable guff. The "Developments" era of the early 2000's in long gone, people can see through it.

Yes well said as I say it's too late around 20 years early 2000s would have been a good time but to start up now is madness would have been less stressful to have stayed at Korda

Nicely made, I'd certainly prefer that one needle as opposed to the multi tool as a stocking filler but no way would I buy one, I'll stick my cheap plastic one, it does the job.

The carplife one looks good,I like how can store the spare heads in the handle and get a nice little case
OMC might sell a load of pointless, overpriced nonsense but so is half the stuff out there now. At least he packages most of his overpriced nonsense in paper and card vs plastic.

my original SOLAR baiting needle has 2 things that made it the best
the needle the shape was perfection perfect diameter and the important shoulder increase in size meant you could open up a small hair to just the right size for a stop after being pulled thru a tough boilie
and of course the fluorescent pink colour that made it hard to lose its why I still use it and got it

Ive got a couple of old drennan ones. The shoulder comes a bit too early on them but it is certainly a useful feature

I have a couple of Gardner braided hair needles. I love them, so when I break them after a couple of years, I just get a new one or 2.
