Although I'm really against this crap bit of tat I thought I'd have to have a closer look so I got the owner of one to show me . It confirmed all I had , and lots on here , had thought . It's hideous , but the big thing was the arms were bent open ( not by me as I did not pay for it ) and they just slayed open no breaking . Things have quietened down a bit with only some fisheries allowing it , and those are the type of places that the people it's aimed at would probably fish anyway . I'm hoping that after the initial sales that people will get bored of using the PVA , and realise that it may well have made no difference of getting the bite . Trouble is that no matter what the rat trap is sprung during the fight and you can't prove it one way or another 🙄.

To be fair, I fail to see how the mechanics of the Magic Twig have caused that to happen. It looks like the hook point has been exposed whilst in the net, got caught in the net and it's pulled out of the fish, the fish has moved down the line through movement, and the tapered rubber bit has opened up the hole.

Looks to me me like the hook has gone through the lip and grabbed the net, during moving the fish in the net looks like it's moved and dragged it through its lip

Said all I want to below, look at the size of it ffs!!!

That happens when the hook is in the mesh and you stupidly lift the net with the hook still attached, the weight of the fish then causes more damage and makes them slide down to the lead arrangement. Had the same happen to me last night, but myself and the bailiff had the sense to unhook the fish in the net first. It doesn't happen often, but a bit of common sense prevents these obvious hit job photos from occurring.

Not sure whats worse now. The twig itself, or people using these type of photos as a stick to hit Ali with despite THEM being the moron in that scenario and causing more distress to a badly hooked fish.

The Committee have met to discuss the subject of the Magic Twig.

After close inspection, rigorously testing it out in various ways and listening to other feedback from numerous sources.
We have come to the conclusion that if we allowed it to be used on society venues, it would be detrimental to the wellbeing of our stock.

We have therefore decided to ban its use on all society waters.

This rule will come into effect as soon as the word has been passed to every member via the next newsletter.

Could all Facebook members spread the word, so that people don't waste their money purchasing something that they can't use.
