What a true gentleman and a treasure trove of information

I have countless items of tackle in my armoury thanks to advice from the man himself

This forum will be the poorer for his passing. I only hope someone will pick up his mantle and carry on

Only just spotted this thread.

There's not much I can say that's not already been said.
A great guy. Very knowledgeable and we communicated most days on WhatsApp

Recently he created a WhatsApp group with a bunch of his contacts in...most of whom I didn't know as they were people from his past or lived near him.
On that group I mentioned that I would like to write a long overdue feature for the forum, links. I said I would like to brand the feature "Linky Poo" - in his memory.

Those of you that know me will realise this feature isn't likely to happen overnight as I prefer fishing to coding, but I am putting this 'out there' to ensure I keep my promise and get it done.

RIP Gerry

I will think of you (along with other friends I have lost) as I gaze at the stars whilst fishing.

If any of the Carp Gods are within earshot, please point me out and let them know I need all the help I can get mate....those extra bites will be appreciated
