That's not what step 3 clearly states and specifically says angling end of June MAYBE. angling is NOT and never has been EXERCISE.
People are interpreting this for their own ends but the carpers have always been the most selfish anglers.

Yes of course Angling is not exercise.
But Sky News are citing Angling as a "permitted activity" from a Government source.
So we will wait and see, because we might yet be disappointed if the message changes tomorrow.

as usual Boris is as clear as mud and leaving everyone else to try and sort out his mess...
As said - there are people who can't see past themselves and their own version of events created to suit them alone. There are people on here who have been bragging about fishing over recent weeks already

God I've just been checking Facebook and lakes are saying that they are more confused and want clarification from angling trust/ government, but God the amount of people asking if there open tomorrow,give them a chance for christ sake.i certainly wont be going if they do as much as it would do me the world of good I can wait another few weeks
If they are open I hate to think how many people will be sleeping outside gates making sure they get a swim

I'm not sure if that was aimed at me, I'm not being selfish, I'm just repeating what I've seen on the tv and also reported on the bbc and sky news websites. They specifically say leisure activities, not just exercise.
The transcript of Borris's actual words say that you can now drive to destinations to carry out these activities as long as you are only with people from your own household. Well most of us fish on our own.

Personally I'm surrounded by eleven lakes and the angling website for them has been swamped with people saying they will be down tomorrow totally ignoring the fact they have said they will not be open, hilarious as the fish had just started spawning but the change in weather will stop that.

I found it hard to believe but it came from a family member of the lake.
I think the bait thing is they're having to put boilies / particle in there own lake as the amount of fish in there need feeding?
Could a lake that is massively overstocked need feeding everyday? I'm no farmer just a fisherman!

It's not like fishing will be compulsory.
The miserable sods who wanted it banned for months dont have to go. They'll still be welcome to hide away in their houses feeling sad and bitter.
As for “carpers always the most selfish anglers”. Maybe join a tench forum instead?
