Looks bad for Martin! Also has anyone seen the video on jimmy bullards insta? I can't believe he has put it up and is defending his actions!!
He's released a statement on his Facebook page fessing to it being him, saying if played in its entirety he doubts it would show him rehooking it. Never denied the conversation. He needs stripping of all sponsorships.

Bullard isn't exactly the brightest spark. Also a match fishermen, so fish care is likely an alien concept.
It's a shame this all turned out to be true. I remember reading an article years ago by Martin Bowler about Summer evening Rudd fishing. It was one of the most inspiring pieces of course fishing writing I had read.

Showed his match results, weighing in some good sized carp that were kept in a keepnet all together, no mate, etc. typical match stuff. Anyone questioning him he's giving it back to big time. Not entirely sure his responses are all that serious tbf knowing of his nature and antics.

No, there's absolutely zero connection to the thread topic.
"Match Angler Mishandles Fish" is hardly a new thing.
How it can be conflated with the Martin Bowler issue - someone who makes a living from angling, unlike Bullard - is beyond me.

When i was match fishing we had to have 2 keepnets min 8ft x 3ft and that was just for silvers. Surely things have moved on in the last 45 years?
