The new nitecore ut27 can use aaa and has a battery pack inside. It looks very good but is quite a bit bigger than the nu25.

Used mine a couple of times now, also very impressed. No issue with battery over 3 nights

Also check the Energizer® Vision Ultra HD Rechargeable, top head torch and not too expensive.

I have a Nitecore NU10. Brilliant for the money at under £30, three levels of brightness, red leds, and gets charged in the van on the way to work. I also have their now out of stock T360 utility light with a magnetic base. That goes on the bivvy table and shines across my knees for when I need to rebait at night. Prefer doing this instead of using a headtorch when flicking them onto margin spots, so I can maintain some form of night vision and not light up the whole swim.

picked up a sunblesa headtorch and impressed for £20
I was impressed for a short period of time until the battery died. Dreadful battery life mine has. Many have complained about it apparently

On the other hand my Nitecore NU25 that this is supposed to be a copy of ? is fantastic battery life
until this NU25 I was always against buying a rechargeable head torch as preferred to have a battery one an spare battery's but must say can get a weekend with no problems and of course as its not used in the day I could always bung it on my phones power pack or cars ciggy lighter if I wanted to do longer

I've got 3 nights in work out of it which to be fair isn't bad tbh...I charge it up in the truck,its not for fishing as such and won't be used for pro longed periods at a time..

and apparently they have had a bad batch and replacing them here is a typical post
Updated - on the original model SUNBLESA H11 I received I found there were problems with the battery life. However, having returned this,
I have now received an upgraded model with an improved battery as a replacement and am pleased to report that the battery life is now vastly improved. So much so that I would now say that this is the easily the best head torch that I've used in terms of functionality, performance and value.

I had the fox halo 350 and it was junk. Lasts an hour and after a few sessions the connection between light and battery failed.
Replaced it with a trakker night life 580 and couldn't be more happy with it. Extremely bright. Lasts forever and more importantly no separate battery making it a lot easier to carry/put on jumping out for a night run. Also has a dark mode etc
Well worth the money imo

Using the nitecore right now. I have an island with a bay
Right infront of me. Its a tiny private lake in a London Borough so accuracy is important. Other anglers have their areas too . Pretty close .
However the island is only like 40 feet away. With the nitecore I can pretty much light up that bank for casting.
