Couple of years back that fella was fishing opposite me and I saw him constantly leaving his rods unattended. At one point he was easily 300 yards from them. I assumed he was bored and fancied a walk. Not exactly what you'd expect from an angler with his reputation. Seemed like a nice fella though - had a chat in the car park before the gate opened...

i love threads like these .... its very easy, dont like it then dont pay, chances are there will plenty of others that will. This forum is a mere tiny percentage of market nowadays and my guess is we are most of an age where we are not the target audience anyway ,,,, however if paying for it increases the quality long term then if i was interested in watching them i would be all for it .... you only have to look at the leading TV subscription services to see that.
As for some comparing to the likes of a Sky subscription .... do me favour, football was pretty much dead in the water until Sky came along and revitalised it .... We now have more football coverage and enhanced viewing than we know what to do with and along with the paid content on other channels has never seen so much quality .... There is no principal in not paying for it as you just end up cutting off your nose to spite your face, but as with anything you get what you pay for these days and its the individual choice as to whether they can afford or justify it.

I found Leon bartropp vids fairly entertaining but always fast forwarded through biscuit of the week. I'm never going to pay to watch someone eating anything.
