If it actually was them then it's not libel or slander it's only either of those if it's untrue or just Chinese whispers which was my point. Can't lie I'm more curious of who the other two were as even I'm not surprised by anything Jim does

If you can't prove with your own knowledge that something you said (slander) or put into print (libel) then even though what you said may be true, you can still be pulled up under those laws.
Any statement you give has to use your own evidence, you cannot use hearsay or rumour, 'I heard it from a friend who heard it from a mate whose wifes sister lives in the house down the road'.
The fine or penalty may be minimal.

I agree unless you saw it happen yourself and are prepared to swear to that fact in court. Preferably with evidence to back you up then you need to keep quiet or risk a lawsuit.

If it is then it's open to anyone to poach? So I have no problem with filming. Although I'm not sure it shows the company releasing the video in the best light.

Also these lakes are often very closely guarded secrets amongst local anglers. Imagine anglers driving 150 miles plus to fish your lake and then “Out it” on the Internet!!!

I don't fish a lake where angling isn't allowed but making a video on a lake where angling is not allowed hardly casts angling in a good light. It also publicises it and makes that like even busier.

And how many people do you have to tell to sling their hook/ one! two! three! four! five!.
How many people will trespass on private land and poach for private fish. How many will come back? How many will argue that there is no fishing so "It's ok to guest it"
