It really is disgraceful that they are not doing anything about this product if ali had anything about him he would stand up and admit there are problems with the arms and pull the product.
The denials and claims that this product is safe is also utterly disgraceful these people need to take a long hard look at themselves grow some balls and admit they got it wrong.

I'm absolutely shocked this has been released.
After 20 years doing everything we can to protect our quarry in the event of a mishap, overnight, we have a plastic anchor permanently attached to a hook length
When a poor fish dies because of this, the only saving grace is it is going to be very easy to realise why the death occurred on the basis of this anchor being attached to the poor animal - and we'll very easily know where we need to go looking to explain it.
Probably the darkest moment I recall in the sport - I don't really want to fish anywhere where I fear people might be using this horror show along side me. I certainly won't visit venues that permit it. Sensibly, all my clubs have outlawed it but I was intending on doing a few nights on Linear next month - that's absolutely not happening now.

I fully believe it will kill carp , judging by some of the support a lot of so called anglers and lake owners will be oblivious to it, could you imagine the outcry and god forbid a known big fish or special fish gets tethered and dies from this contraption.
Just to clarify i don't think any carp should have to suffer the risk of being tethered by this needless device.

If you actualy watch the lads YouTube who do the underwater filming you will see the magic twig does not even trigger when the carp picks up the bait and shakes its head.
I find it hard to belive that the 1inch bit of elastic that's inside will even set the hook the only thing I can see this doing is giving it abit of stretch when playing the fish. Nothing the nash trigger link can't do.
Sharp hooks and heavy leads is the way forward
From what I can tell its just good marketing to catch the angler not the fish.

No idea why they cannot put a rebate in the arms at the bend so that it can snap off / bend fully back on itself at the very least . . .tool change £ cost presumably but not a massive amendment. Great idea poorly considered and executed - wonder if the original inventor has gone into hiding?

Even if it was safe which obviously it's not how is anything like this a good idea for the sport?
Its comforting to see a lot of like minded thinkers on this theme. The minute I saw it I thought that I hope to god fisheries and clubs generally see sense on this device.

I can see why he needs a marquee product because with all of his hot air they only have standard stuff available . Every item is a copy of most company's gear , their latest release ..... bait floss . Fair play they have different designs in clothing , but clothing is just a personal choice . The rain jacket with electrical tape on the seams is a laugh , sold as a design feature 🤔 , and waterproof / resistance hats etc made by sealskin , when you can buy sealskin stuff anyway . If he makes a living out of it fair play , but just having a following who agree with every word you say won't help .
Because I was low on my normal coated hooklength I even bought a spool of OMC , it's very average at best .
