The accessibility controls on the iPhone have revolutionised my self takes, I learnt it from here and just say the shutter number and all is good, so easy and faultless. I now much prefer doing my own shots and would never ask a neighbour as they are so paranoid about cutting bits off they don't really fill the frame.
As this thread has now turned into a bit of a fishcare one - something I have done for years and try and convince everyone I fish with to do is
Photograph the fish before weighing - all the transferring - knobbing really frustrates me especially in the heat. The fish isn't going to lose any weight in 2 mins, the fish is calmer and you go straight from the scales back to releasing the fish. Why does anyone need to know the weight pre photos?

Maybe they need to know if they should be smiling (new PB, target fish, "proper carp m8") or doing the death stare?

I very rarely take photos or weigh fish since in 2006 all of photos were destroyed,not just fishing ones,family and places I'd been the lot. After the annoyance at loosing them I realised I very rarely ever looked at them anyway so don't bother much anymore.
