I'm not convinced concealment is as important as the tackle manufacturers would like us to believe but still use end tackle that blends in with the lake bed, maybe brainwashed over the years. It's kind of ironic that some go to great lengths to conceal the end tackle then stick an over flavoured bright flouro pop up on the end.

If carp are so scared of line that they immediately leave the vicinity when they detect it. Why do people " fish for liners"?

I think its a subject without a definitive answer we can just use what we are more confident with.

That's the kind of BS that someone like Adam Penning would feel smart saying. If only fishing for liners why put a rig on? If there is a hook and bait then we are fishing for fish!

Looking at all those underwater videos I don't think fish cares much about a visible main line

Big eye opener for me was the fact they used tubing, theoretically much more visible than a translucent line but the fish didn't seem to spook at all and these are some of the most pressured fish in the country.
