I don't think it's that aspect anyone is getting wound up about. If it was just to document their adventures then why not just post the vids on their family and friends FB feed? It's spammed across multiple groups, and that clearly is looking for views/sponsorship/monetising the channel.
It's a different world we live in now and there's real money to be made doing this stuff, there's nothing wrong with that but it does make you wonder how many of these young kids with their parents constantly knocking out videos, and the pressure to keep producing new material get fed up with it all eventually.

I think a lot of older anglers go through that as well, especially with angling being such a niche market. You can only film the same water a few times before 'you' and your viewers get fed up with that.
Let's face it, normally only anglers will watch a specialist video or programme with a few exceptions, John Wilson being a rare one, although Mortimer and Whitehouse came close (yes after criticism i made on another thread I did just say that), they did gain non angling viewers.
It is pretty much only fishing that gives away 'freebies', and being a full time angler is not going to give you a living out of it, again with a few exceptions.
Catch a big fish and get free tackle and bait has been going on for years, Anglers Mail, Angling Times, Mainline monthly awards in CarpTalk, or even letter of the month in Carp World.
We do seem to have become dependant on social media and influencers which does not sit right with me; everyone wants their '15minutes of fame' for life, and we are educating our children into the same.
Your whole life on social media, from birth to death on Facebook...
Sophie may or may not have the choice, her father may be pressing her into fishing, as many parents do, every week: "Come on son, tackle him, shoot".
Not every footballing child is going to be the next Harry Kane or Marcus Rashford. Sophie could be in that (fishing) bracket or she may get fed up with it.

well, ive just watched a 40second video and so this is first impressions .. so hearing her Dad shout "Oh sh*t the other rod is going off Soph, sh*t Soph the other rod!!" so not a great start for me and she's already using the dreaded so called carp angler jargon like "banger" etc .... just awful! 
edit .... Ok, just watched another video ... and i stand a little corrected .... she is quite infectious and has a great smile .... difficult to not be charmed by her

Watched a few short clips no real opinnion other than it's a bit awkward and it seems like he's making her do the videos but she's not really comfortable with it yet?
