Tempest 100 Bivvy arrived today along with the social cap. Put the whole thing up in my living room and on standing back to observe it, I've noticed that the bloody poles weren't set out even either side. On closer inspection, one side of the poles where they slowt in is bent too far at the elbow (causing a crease) so I'll be telephoning AD in the morning to arrange a replacement as it definitely wasn't done when putting it all together.
Whatsmore, the delivery company just dumped it on my doorstep as I was out. I actually recieved some other bits from AD on the same delivery and opted to have the item dropped off at my neighbour next door so don't understand why they would only give him one package and leave a £750 bivvy, £350 Social Cap and £600 Fox RX+ set on my bloody doorstep. I'll be mentioning that to AD in the morning too.

Bit harsh with the insults, but he's right. You need to peg it out, it's designed to be pegged out and will never sit right without being pegged out.

I appreciate what he's saying but then it takes one mong to not understand another mong really.
Obviously it would 'even' out when everything is 'pegged in' provided that both sides of the social cap support bars are identical. Unfortunately, one side of the bars supporting the social cap has a very clear 'creased' fault in the elbow in comparison to the slight 'intended' bend on the opposite elbow.

I don't think you should need to peg a shelter out to un-bend a piece of metal, surely it should just not be creased in the first place.
Can only assume that you have misinterpreted what he was explaining and think that he was referring to a crease in the fabric.

I've dealt with them a couple of times over the last two days. At store level they were dreadful but customer service on the phone were brilliant.
Unfortunately, some delivery people have a mind of their own and they appear to lack any sort of basic initiative.
I had a mobile phone delivery threw over the garden gate at 10:30pm while it was peeing it down with rain. Dog brought it in next morning and the box was just a mush of cardboard!

AD were great. They asked me to forward images and they will get it sorted. Even if I have to take the current one into Peterborough it's not the end of the world.
It never ceases to amaze me the lack of common sense some people have. I've had a similar experience with a delivery from John Lewis. We phoned up to ask when we'd expect our new parasol and John Lewis said it had already been delivered. After seeing we hadn't signed for one, they sent out a replacement. 3 weeks later I was sorting out some junk at the back of our garage and found a sodden box. They bloody delivery driver had obviously slung it over the fence (probably because we weren't in) and failed to leave a note of where he'd put it.

I bought a new levelite chair and it had labels which had been powder coated over on the legs. Honestly I struggle to understand how some peoples brains work sometimes.

I had that same thing happen with my tempest..
Was my own mistake, poles where not stuck together deep enough..
Its a weak spot on that system..
