Talk about take my opinion out of context, twist and *******ise it in your own head that I'm somehow jealous... seriously. I knew some idiot would accuse me of being jealous, hey, and you're >that guy<. Give yourself a pat on the head. If you re-read my initial post, I did mention he should sell them for what he payed for them, that's if he did pay for entry to the competition he entered, which if you remember was what he asked (paraphrasing) 'how much should I sell them for'.
Just to be clear: I hope OP gets a job even better payed than his last and that things turn around for him quick sharp and that he keeps the reels, enjoys the use of them and catches bundles of fish with them. I'm genuinely happy that he won those reels. We're not Venezuela just yet. There are support systems in place to help people out who have fallen on hard times. It's not like OP and his family are going to have to scour the forest's hunting squirrels is it?
It doesn't surprise me one bit how people have reacted to my posts, after all, it's just a case of the times we live...
Edited to add: just to say, before anyone else hoists up there memeflag, read what I've said, don't take any of it out of context, only the words contained within those posts of mine are what I'm actually trying to convey; nothing else. There's no hidden meaning or agenda.

Yeah, nothing wrong with making a profit. There's staff to pay, rents, suppliers etc. It's not like tackle shops are charities.

So it's OK for a shop to make a profit in order to pay staff, rent, suppliers etc but not OK for OP to make a profit to pay for food for his wife and kids, rent/mortgage and bills?
