Unfortunately all these “Named anglers” it's there job and they don't like criticism us mere hobby anglers can't know more than them.
I think a lot of them think we are jealous as they fish for a living. Nothing could be further from the truth for me. If fishing was my job it would be ruined.

I don't feel like I having my pants pulled down personally, I pay £6 and I don't know or care how many others pay the same. Makes no difference to me, same as always if you don't want something don't pay for it.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no big deal.
Now people who have Sky TV need to check on their pant imo, but you know what I haven't got it because I couldn't justify the cost.

I'd say that a lot of us owe a huge amount to a very small percentage of high profile anglers that have enabled us to catch the fish we do due to their sharing of their own findings and hours of solving problems, say the likes of Maddocks for instance sharing the hair rig, Dave Lane sharing things like the 360 rig, and it goes on. Then there are the hangers on who just want to milk it for what it's worth and it's about turning a hobby into a money making opportunity and to whatever degree massage their ego. These types it could be anything, football, snooker, you name it, it just so happens that it's fishing.
I find nearly all the carp orientated videos dull as you like. They just bore me senseless. Simon Crow is boring, Gaz Fareham is awful, Korda video's generally suck, that biscuit geezer is dreadful... I wouldn't pay to watch any of it thinking about it.

Do I mind seeing the occasional product plug? Nope! If there's good value in what I'm exposed to then I don't mind watching/listening.

Absolutely not a chance I'm paying to watch drivel. I've paid for 2 films and they are In Pursuit of Carpiness 1+2. Don't mind paying for something that puts a smile on my face.

I paid for the Cypography stuff when it was one film a month as I felt that they were worth the £5.99, but when it went to small films weekly & you could only watch if you continued to subscribe (I used to download each one onto my Media Server so I didn't have to stream them in contention with the Mrs & Step Daughter complaining that they couldn't watch what they wanted because I was using all the bandwidth at home) I stopped subscribing as the price had gone up & the content wasn't what I was looking for (I prefer to sit & watch longer films rather than 10-15 minutes videos).
There is no chance in hell I would be paying to watch an individual's sessions though. The "CarpCatcher" started doing paid for content a while back with his Patreon page but I never bought any of those as I didn't feel they would warrant the cost of watching someone talk about their first coffee & second breakfast!
I may consider paying for a subscription if it was just Terry Hearn doing his video's as you know it would be a good story as well as true passion put in to the session. Anybody else though, I would give a miss totally for paid content.

I've got to say that I'm quite disappointed by the majority of the replies here. I was planning on filming this weekends session and getting you lot to pay me to watch it.
I've already laid out a considerable amount on a selection of biscuits and fancy rig tying materials that I've never actually used. And this bloody yappy dog will have to go to the pound.

Each to their own, but paying for content that is already out there seems a bit odd to me. The “pro” anglers are merely trying to earn a living from carp fishing so I don't blame them. The thing that ****s me off is that there are people doing it who catch very little......why pay to hear waffle from someone who catches less than the average man. Some story type clips will be worth paying for in the future and some of the match anglers have Interesting things to discuss but most of it is second hand Info from 30 years ago!! Plus I'm not paying to keep someone tramping up the banks midweek whilst I'm grafting my nads off waiting for the weekend 😂😂

I remember that and his facebook posts. I chipped in about exactly the number of spoonfuls of sugar he put in a plastic container.
I seem to recall he stopped other people posting images on his timeline shortly after.
I rarely watch any Youtube creations, not for me, as for paying for Patreon, to heck with that.
I used to buy magazines if it looked interesting, but most is regurgitated, rebranded, reinvented stuff of old, and sadly what is left is not in the quality of CarpWorld as it used to be.
In fact I reckon the best fishing magazine is a freebie, if you are into your pike fishing, and a member of PAC, Pikelines. More information in that than any number of carp cartoon books...😖😆😉
