Such horrible news seems a lovely bloke
I'm genuinely down after hearing this news, and I don't even know him. Just seems such a terrible shame for someone who is clearly so well liked by the people who do know him.

I don't know the fella but have seen a couple of YouTube videos with him in.
But im still gutted to hear he is suffering and is now terminal.
I knew someone who passed away with Bowel Cancer only a couple of years ago.
It's a very cruel disease and usually symptoms only start to show when the cancer has already taken hold.
My thoughts are with him and his family.

He is a genuine kind fun person he don't take no **** but wears his heart on his sleeve and loves a bit of banter and would do anything for the people close to him.Hes a true Stoke lad and I'm gutted he has got this terrible illness

Like most on here, don't know the guy but watched him on you tube and social media and comes across as a genuinely nice guy gutted for the guy so sad.

A friend of mine in NZ was telling me that they get sent a test kit on their 60th birthday over there which you send three stool samples spread over a few days and get the results back soon after, I hadn't heard of it here but I was three months shy of my 60th when she told me and low and behold on my 60th I received a test kit which I completed and sent back and luckily it came back all clear, I believe they send them out every two years.... I was thinking it would be a real kick in the gonads if it came back positive as I already have a positive result on my prostate (family history) but its the least aggressive type so i'm on active surveillance which means a blood test every three months and possibly another biopsy, ive got the option of radiotherapy or even having it removed altogether but if it doesn't grow too fast I may possibly outlive it meaning i'll die before it actually kills me, a startling statistic from the urologist told me that probably 50% of men my age (60) probably have prostate cancer of some form or another but most men don't get checked because they're maybe too embarrassed to go to the doctors and end up living with it without even knowing it unless its the really aggresive type, remember guys its well treatable providing it doesnt get out of the prostate, bowel cancer i'm sure is a different story

I can only echo everyone else's sentiments regarding Iain's diagnosis - desperately sad ...
Here in Sydney, the same type of self-test kits are distributed at 50, and then every 4 years after. This practice started about 5 years ago, and at 54 I've recently received my second kit and got the results in a week - all good.

I do not know Iain personally but have enjoyed his videos/articles over the years, very sad and unfair for a person to be struck by this terrible illness.
