When I had a look at one the other day the 4.5oz resistance one will defiantly hook bream and tench no worries. When the leads plugged it will be even easier to trigger. Have lipless bream across the country

Carp anglers with a brain, have been adapting , and altering / improving rigs since floating crust was invented. It's just the way people's brains work.(some). However some draw the line at developments that have potential for fish damage. You surely wouldn't use a bait that was absolutely irresistible to carp , if it was ultimately poisonous to them in the long term. The catch at no cost brigade, probably would anyway.

When we had the video call with Ali and I mentioned the self striking element being against fishery bylaws he didn't have a clue about it and said he's ask his mate at the angling trust to look into it for him... but the horse has already bolted...

Just to add...
I do think the twig is an abomination in terms of fish safety and ethics as well as finding Ali and the hype marketing irritating AF.
All of these in combination have contributed to the discussion, however, Ali being who he is, an irritant from the Korda stable, has made it all the more worse than it would have otherwise been I reckon.

How can you trust someone who on a Friday said that Trakker tempests , delkims buzzers and bobbins , diawa rods and reels were the very best , and on the Monday they were dropped like a hot potato 🙄 . It's this part right here that I do not understand Baitman. How on Earth anyone ever thought that it would be okay, is totally baffling.
Clear stupidity. They can scream that they are being bullied now as much as they want. They created all of this, deliberately as well in my view. The lack of simple understanding of the market is shocking. It's all well and good courting all the novice anglers.... But they are about to find out that their novice clientele, will not hang around to long... Not when all and sundry are calling them nods and laughing at them.

What do you honestly think that the antis are going to make of all this? He is playing with real fire and needs to backtrack. Just hold your hands up, admit you got it slightly wrong and get the fins off. He is making himself a total laughing stock. That laughing, will soon turn to something else if they start causing real chaos in the world outside our hobby with this contraption. They will change the game alright, by ****ing it up completely!
