Brilliant post.
The angling trust need support, so surely it is a mixture of your ideas. They should make a statement to say they will investigate it but need support. A go fund me page and a proper plan to properly look into the issue. Surely with money and inertia behind them they could look not at the water and anglers but at the supply chain. This stuff isn't easy to get, and there will be a chain of custody for a prescribed drug. I honest believe that it wouldn't take a central body too long to track any ‘suspicious' supply.
It's a shame carpworld has gone as im sure they wouldn't have been able to ignore it.
As for the Pod cast WHY are they not asking Hassan and Nash be brought to account? Why can the counties top supplier and multinational company discuss and yet Steve White can't?
Why Is Said angler not threatening legal action against Hassan personally?

They all know what has been going on and they also know the gravy train will be coming to an end if it comes to light that hormones sprinkled on top of bait negates the need for ay of their fandago rigs and pap they peddle and mesmerise people with.
Starting to see the true colours of some of these apparent "legends" and "superstars" of this "hobby". Not a ****ing proper word from any of them....weak individuals.
Just look at the Ian Russell podcast FFs - doesn't get much more obvious than that.
Also i don't buy into that people are some sort of magicians and catch wherever they go...total balls, you can teach a monkey to carp fish nowadays. Everything is on a plate. Biggest edge in carp fishing nowadays (behind cattle hormones) is sat in a tent 5 days a week on the bank....nothing else. NH recent podcast summed it up, everywhere is rammed, one in, one out...even on the continent.
Is total ***** all of it and "legends" have now been caught with their pants down and back peddling. Matey turned up and had 3 x 40's and 9 x 30's in half an hour..............it all means **** all anymore.

Cheers Dan, your spot on there mate from what I'm hearing, witnessing and reading on threads like this. And it's all because of one thing – they are run strictly on a none profit basis, purely for the love of the sport.
~ I presume from what I've read these Hormones trick all species into thinking its spawning time?
If so it would be very easy to spot if someone was using them on a water that has Pike/Cats stocked – they would be fighting like hell with each other, especially male Cats.

Could the Angling Trust raise the matter with the Environment Agency, since the latter are charged with avoiding pollution and have greater powers for investigation?

One thing I would really like to know is who has put the pressure on Sam and Pete to pull the two podcasts down? I listened to both and they did not name anyone who may be involved in this, so why are these frank discussions hidden from view now? Only Sam and Pete will know this, and Stephen of course. And what have they been threatened with if they chose not to remove the podcast?
Personally, I remain unconvinced that Kev Hewitt has done anything wrong, I do 100% believe he has discovered something that outperforms anything else being used by a massive amount, but until it is proven otherwise I do believe that what he has discovered is legit and quite rightly he should keep it to himself. If you listen to the whole podcast it becomes pretty clear that he has had an extraordinary ability to catch numbers of carp in a session for a long time, and some of the match scenario's described confirm this unquestionably. Some will say that maybe he has been using something 'dodgy' for a long time then, and you may be right, I do just hope not.. Btw, I don't know or have ever met him..
Saying all that, I remained adamant that Lance Armstrong was clean for years until I heard through another pro what the deal really was and the sadness I felt was indescribable..

What is the name of this stuff? No legal reason not to name it. As long as no accusations are made naming individuals or organisations there are no grounds for libel, defamation or slander.
Is this stuff freely and legally available?
Is it harmful to humans or other animals?
Are we talking about a chemical or compound that is harmful to fish and the aquatic environment?
Does this stuff stimulate a powerful feeding response through a physiological response as with drugs, without the sensory stuff like smell, colour, taste, or texture.
Why in this case does stimulating a powerful spawning urge help with feeding response? In my experience just before and during spawning carp feed very little if at all and the more turned on they get, the less they feed.
If there are people out there with the answer to these and other questions there is no legal reason not answer them.
