I would have asked them to send you a returns label 👍

Likewise, paying to get your brand new alarms fixed is not on imo, even if it's just the postage.

Did you call the tackle box to see if they had stock?

Not this time. I have previously dealt with Delkim with my Mk 1 txi's and to be fair they have always been spot on.

"I have contacted delkim and have sent the dodgy alarm back to them this afternoon via recorded, signed for.
They are exchanging the alarm.
Cost me £7.40 due to the higher postal insurance. Won't see that back though."
£7.40p to fix their problems is bad. What's worse though is that you bought Delkim's expecting them to be waterproof.

I'm not sure if they have different snag backs like the old TXis, but if they do and I were you, I'd be asking for some to be sent back with the alarm, minus the £7.40 you've paid and as a good will gesture something of the remaining balance for your time and inconvenience, it's the least they could do really and tbh even if they do knock something off they'll still be making money...win win all round.

Surely you could design something to give them shelter from the rain

if you pack anything away wet it wil give you problems later on. i was advised not to use my rubber hard cases for my mk1 delks as any moisture on the alarm cannot get out. this came from an friend who repairs all types of alarms he then went on to say that the delkim sensor can swell up when it gets wet and if its not dried out properly they will give you trouble. allways dry out my alarms in the house for a day or two after a session.
however you are allways going to get some not so good ones in a batch and i will be watching this to see if it is a general issue or an few isolated cases

They are reimbursing me the £7.40 for postage, as hoped.
My alarms had not been put away wet - This was the 1st time out with them.
I was always careful to dry out my mk1 txi's and I'll treat my new ones the same.

I think for the number sold so far, and only one personal experience, and one report heard about, it's a pretty good chance they are isolated cases

Let's see with more rain expected this weekend
Could be just it's summer with little rain ideal conditions for Delkims
