I own the korda net and a mk3 dymag. the korda handle is reverse taper but alot thicker,its more like a fishing pole section,unlike the dymag one which is pencil thin and more like a rod blank

Ah fair play would be difficult to match the dymags, only problem with it is when you fish places that make you use their nets won't even let you use the pole. Right pain in the backside, just makes me realise how good my dymag is compared to pretty much everything else

Still if the Korda net is anywhere near the dymags stiffness (think it would struggle to be as light as the dymags) It'll still be better than most other nets you can buy

The shallow mesh are out now, mine came yesterday for my korda net.

The dymag handles are definitely not pencil thin, there more or less the same diameter as my korda net at the block end. The thicker handle is much nicer to hold than a super thin one. My hi s net was horrible to hold due to the handle being so thin.

Surely the answer to a bendy net is to just buy a coarser mesh?

A coarser mesh wouldnt make much difference as it would still weighs a ton when wet.

You are right Stuart. I see people rating Dymag above anything else, but my Dymag Mk2 net was definitely less stiff that the Korda Spring Bow net. I sold my Dymag because of that and waiting for a Korda net to come up second hand.

i own both, I prefer the dymag, I was going to sell but I'm keeping it now, the deep mesh makes the korda net more of a task than the dymag when netting fish...the shallow mesh may solve that with the korda net.

I once had an ultracult reverse taper handle I think it even had a staiinless pointy bit on the end in the early 90's coupled with north western arms net and spreader block it was a joy to use

The shallow mesh is the perfect depth at 37 inches. The net it came with was stupidly deep.

Quite clever isn't it, selling something that is basically excellent, but with one easily remedied flaw and then selling the remedy separately?

Yep, they know there's hoardes of people out there with more money than sense

Not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to resist getting one

I received my replacement shallow mesh this morning. Much better size in line with a normal net. Needless to say the deep mesh will go in the bin

Not a flaw for alot of people,it's superb on the lake I'm on.I can push the handle into the bank and rest the fish in the margin with no chance of it jumping out

So how much is the total cost of the landing net and the replacement mesh?
