I don't think Gerry was pointing the finger at you bud more the people that slag of products based on the company selling it rather then their experience using it.
I personally buy products that fit my fishing needs rather than who makes them but it seems some people can't get passed a name.
I have to agree though if I get bad customer from a shop then that's it for me I will take my business else where not that it will bother them.

it just boils my piss when these people that probable have never bought or owned any of the brilliant tackle Kevin sold back in the day when he first started
but its the very same with most of the tackle company's quality has declined as competition is so great everyone is trying these days to cut costs and corners
look at Wychwood for example without question their Brolly were the best on the market nothing came close to them with their 5 year warrantee that was never needed
then suddenly quality control went out the window along with the quality of materials and only a 1 year warrantee that you probably will definitely need
and plenty of others I can think of too
and Trakker aftersales a TOTAL LOTTERY it would depend on who picked the phone up you would get fantastic service or a complete blank and rude answer
MY SINCEREST WISH IS FOR THE LEGEND KEVIN NASH TO HAVE A WONDERFUL ENJOYABLE RETIREMENT he really does deserve it

I've still got the original titan bought in 1993 with leather badge , it's material is more like canvass might be early slippery eel, it has never ever leaked like I know some of the later models did, the taped seams have never peeled off either, I still give it an airing now and again but I have to say it's a tiny bivvy compared to these modern bivvies, folds up like a banana too, the old Nash gear for those that can remember was decent, I also had an artic 1 piece thermal suit which lasted years

He was very good to me when i worked for him, I'd just got my 1st flat and knew nothing of the grown up world and paying bills, long and short of it I'd over stretched my budget/wages and quickly spiralled into debt. I ended up selling my beloved tackle to pay the bills and not only did Kevin give me opportunities to earn a bit more doing extra jobs but he also lent me his spirolights and original delkims that i think he caught the silverend biggun (essex 1st 40) using so i could still fish a bit, i will always be grateful for that and if this post is true i wish him the best retirement.

I have to agree with you. Kev introduced us to a lot of gear that helped us with our fishing..
I remember having my first titan and after the second session put a hole through it with a 2oz lead.
I rang Nash about it, and was asked to send it in. I sent on the Monday morning (10am) during work break, and he himself repaired it, and it was on my doorstep the following Wednesday when I got home from work.
I still use a lot of Nash gear without any problems. My only criticism on the newer titans is they are no longer the take anywhere shelter. Even my old Viper, for short sessions I'd strip out the groundsheet and front and it was easy to lug about when being mobile. The new ones do weigh a ton even without the inner capsule, and to read they are making it taller will only make it heavier too. I could of course buy a hide, but don't want two bivvies.
