How deep is that sunk in then ?
Tend to pin front and back down if using a pod and need the rigidity

I couldn't get pb ones when I wanted them so I made some solid as a rock. I then pin my pod down and something has to break before a rod goes anywhere.

I would go butt ring tight on buzzer over anything else, nothing new to remember and works for me.

Same here. I think it's just a fashion thing. Like having the rods so close together you have to fold the reel handles. Another thing I can't stand I like my rods apart so they don't interfere with each other when you get a run.

I am using a pod with everything nicely spaced out. Gone are the days of struggling with single sticks, I have much better things to do on my short sessions than getting into a froth whilst trying to get six bank sticks into rock hard ground around a gravel pit where it hasn't rained for months!

I am contender for least fashionable person in carp fishing, by the way!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Considering just wrapping a bungee cord around the lot, attach to the pod on either side and be done with it.

I only use my 3 rod rod pod with 2 rods the middle bankstick is insert completely into the ground (can also use a bivvy peg) so my rodpod will never be pulled from its place, on the middle bankstick in the ground i put my anti theft alarm.

for single bankstick setup you can use a Bankstick stabilizer.

Aaaah, if you don't give a rats about being carp trendy just use matrix or neville stainless sticks and a big club hammer to smash them in. Use the nash butt grippers and nothings going in. You may need a powered barrow to get the kit to your swim without suffering a hernia.

There is only 1 bankstick in the ground to secure the rodpod, on the channel where I mostly fish it's not always easy to knock banksticks into the ground (lots of concrete and concetrate rubble) then I use 1 bivvy pegs.

+ I also don't want to scratch the whole rodpod, 1 bankstick is enough to keep everything in place so why put all banksticks in the ground (unnecessary extra work)

Yeah, I meant why bother with a pod at all? If you are putting anything in the ground to "secure" the pod then that defeats the object of a pod?!
