When you've got a big warm wind smashing in, it's epic. I remember back to sitting in the face of a 65mph+ howler some years ago and having three on the bounce at night. Not a sole on the place other than me doing battle with the lakes inhabitants

Just a regular Wednesday up here mate...

Closing car door today bloody wind ripped it out my hand and it hit next doors pride and joy. Gonna cost me at least my ins excess of £250. Bloody acts of God.

Not the monster I was hoping for but a nice scraper 20 at 2.30am. Brolly still in one piece 😂

No chance,

I'm slap bang in the middle of the highest winds coming tomorrow and I live on the coast. I have bigger things to worry about such as will my 3 storey house become a bungalow.

PS if anyone finds weston super mare in East Anglia please return to the Caribbean.

Still frozen out here in Slovakia going mad. Tried snowboarding too fat

Bit windy last night. It was the stronger gusts that were the problem...

I've just noticed a big surf shop has boarded up all the windows,and a JCB,has shifted a load of stuff to protect it,it's on the beach though..

The wind turbines have shut off as well,they do this so if the windspeed ups,it doesn't damage the blades..

I always use the turbines as a marker,...we shall see,how bad it gets or no..

This normally wouldn't put me off fishing I've fished in all sorts of bad weather and tbh I like it, this weekend isn't my weekend to fish though (can go every other weekend) aslong as you set up in the right area and set your bivvy up right your be fine just stay away from the trees

Seen earlier though on Facebook some lads bivvy crushed by a fallen tree looked nasty (wasn't a old one happened last night apparently)

train line to London was cancelled today, tomorrow even worst, think the midlands are expecting extremely high winds

tempted to stop anyone fishing my lake as i dont fancy chain sawing someone's leg off
