the Wychwood tactical is brilliant shelter and I do like it but it is very very low 120cm
carping on a lake its perfect
BUT ! as I now fish fast flowing rivers my rods are used high and if due to weather Im forced to sit in the bivvy I cant see the rod tips and as my illness has caused 2 of my vertebrae to be pushed out and fractured looks like my back injury will be permanent
and if in the event this Solar shelter isnt a lot better it should be 150cm I will send it back thats the reason I bought it from Amazon as its free returns with no quibbles

I just pop a couple of small tarps from the pound shop in the bag. Use them to put my gear on and they weigh nothing,

Not sure what version of the Tempest my mate had, but we had that and my Solar up side by side at Gunthorpe and the Solar door is a lot higher.
The Solar only has 2 storm poles, not 4 (whoever mentioned that). In 6-7 minutes you could have it up and a cup of tea made.

Thats going to be some bivvy sale, it'll be like the bivvy village at one of these fishing shows
no got rid of a couple already including the Kampa inflatable they are brilliant but blooming heavy
just a Quest Stealth Bivvy MK2 (never used it impulse buy) ,Fox Easydome. Carpzone brolly system,an oval,keeping the Tempests bivvy and deciding if I keep the Wychwood or not after seeing what the Solar undercover looks like when its delivered today

First time out with the MHR last week, rained a bit and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it leaked! In 3 places, needless to say it's going back.

wow thats terrible !!
Wychwood seem to be having lots of problems ??
and thats really sad as they have gone from making some of the best shelters on the market too one where its a lottery if you get a good one or a bad one

is your man for a review on the Solar Undercover brolly system he has been using one for a while now
I have only put mine up in the garden and will be a while before Im fit enough to actually use it but first impressions very well made and for my uses is a good compact size
being only 150cm deep I can see why a few people say its too small for them but my bed fits in and goes to the back with enough room for my needs

Front panel zips on really easily, and it goes up very quickly.
You'd be pushed for space with a massive sleep system, but I can get a bedchair and my gear in it without issue. I really like it overall and after putting up a bivvy last week I realised how much faff it is compared to the brolly system!

one important thing with the Solar Undercover brolly System is the weight Solar state is miles out
they state its 10.5kg but when Rob weighed his it was no where near that
So mine came and after removing the packaging I weighed mine its exactly 7.4kg with everything pegs front poles etc

What a mare, my friend just purchased the fox 60 ventec brolly and that leaks. He was thinking of getting a Wychwood.
