Never seen anything from tackle box or Johnson Ross mate, those 2 never seem to do anything but still worth shopping with them, they will look after you and help you out a lot if needed

Think jr did do 10% off at times last year. Vale Royal used to be a banker for free spirit rods but think they strated to exclude them from the offer they ran.

Yeah if you go to the bottom of the vale angling main page there is a little bit to click on that says Black Friday, has a list of things that won't be included, free spirit being one of them 👍

I'm after some new reels. I have only had bait runners before but want to move away from them and get myself a good set of reels. I like the look of the penn affinity ll LC 7000 carbon ones. So keep your eyes open gents if you see some for a good price

Have a look at non UK European tackle shops like M&R, Hiki, AM Angelsport, Askari, etc. I've found that these are lots cheaper for branded big ticket items like reels, probably less carp tax over there. Postage costs aren't usually too bad either.
Know I'm not exactly flying the British flag too high, but hey ho!! Everyone has a choice, expensive British or cheaper from the EU.

Cheers, I think I'll probably end up buying regardless of discount but might wait on the off chance. Hopefully there's some good deals about this year but I think the real bargains will be from everyone buying this summer and now losing interest. Ebay could well be full of nearly new gear lol.
