Terrys 2nd one is OK, but not a patch on the first, which is absolutely fantastic. It was published after he passed away so it has a kind of unfinished feel to it.

Glad to see books are making a resurgence. Although I've started watching YouTube bids more nothing beats a good book
Favs include Hearns ones, Lanes first two, the Maylin trilogy, A Merry Olde Dance, Carp Life 1, Forgotten Chapters, Beyond the Green Gate and the Subsurfaces.
Couldn't get into Chillys, Nigel Sharps or the later Big Carp books.
Springates first book was okay, didn't bother with the second and third but kind of wish I had now.
Currently tempted by Shelleys. Are they any good?

Peck's book is a good read. Brutally honest and truthful. He doesnt dress it up like some do.

Peck's was very good, surprisingly good. I really enjoyed it.
I am surprised that Oz Holness's book hasn't been mentioned. I would say that it is as good as any angling book I have read.
I wish that they were all available on Kindle as I'm not that bothered about the paper copies.
