Let's hope not. But let's not forget about mad cow disease, foot and mouth, and the salmonella issues that have all happened within the past 25 years.
I agree that China or more importantly the Chinese Government needs to step up its game with its laws. But let's not start painting 1.3 Billion people, many who have lived in severe poverty and for years a communist state with the same brush.

Manufacturing in China has always done and will continue to do so because of their low cost.
But China is not alone when it comes to low cost services - you've also got Eastern Europe for manufacturing and software , India pretty much the same, Mexico also which many US companies take advantage of.
In business you have to think with your head if you are to survive. Cost per head is expensive in the developed world so you have to look to these low cost regions if your are going to gain a foothold .
Sadly the UK has been left behind due to decades of poor investment though it still has great innovation & is very respected globablly with its record of innovation & academia.
The world is made up of a finite number of very wealthy persons who's investments in companies etc keep us all in jobs, without that flow of money we'd all cease to exist, so you have to except these types are a necessary evil.
20 years ago BT turned to huawei for their network infrastructure, it's funny how many forget that we've so much to thank the Chinese for.
I've been to China, the provinces going back 20 years watched rice fields become city's, the pace of innovation has been incredible as is their work ethic (something we could learn from) all I'd say is don't be swayed by what you read, yes chickens feet and snake not for me

But dont forget the bird flu SARS jobby and cats and dogs in cages, dont get all mushy with this crew they are responsible for the mass extension of many species with more to come, cutting off sharks fins and throwing them back live for soup effin barbaric and needs sorting it's a disgrace to humanity and nature
