Likewise I've never seen or heard of this before. Was there an approximate size/age on the 'baby' fish? I had always thought that the common was a bit of a loner, and from what I remember of the Terry Hearn piece on it you couldn't just wade through the rest of the fish to get it. I wonder if it's new behavior for the fish?

It was a low 20 bud, nice little kipper with a twisted mouth. Makes you wonder if it had issues feeding.
