From what info I've managed to search out – it's a synthetic hormone that was developed to mimic the natural hormone signal all fish species release to tell each other to congregate in an area to spawn.
That's the difference for me, hung there in numbers!

I've dabbled with it on and off over the years, used to scrape it as a kid from local waters with some top local match anglers and used to pick the match packs up cheap, the left overs, used it in all forms, you name it, Ive tried it, liquidised bloodworm and joker in baits, soaked pellets, ground baits etc if it was that good I would still be using it, used it mixed with mussels and other stuff too, same as most other anglers I guess
Ps. Got a tub in my freezer now with liquidised mussels lol

Ok so if it's proven he is using it it's kinda like the fluoroscein in goo controversy, you could pour a 5lt bottle into a 25 acre lake and it would come back as trace amounts surely

That's the wrong way to look at it. Instead, think about the way DMPT has to be used, it has to be used as a hookbait only because of the harmful affects putting it in free offerings, same would go for this hormone.

My point is where is the data?? Where is the proof?? Cos there is none and it wasn't a poor analogy he is allegedly using this in his bait there fore it's being heavily diluted and again it would show up in trace amounts at best which will have no ecological impact unless someone can prove it does??

What happens if everyone is using it and the fish start spawning mid winter? Or 12 times a year?
Ecologically at the levels used it's not doing damage. By one person on the lake, at low enough levels to not induce spawning and only attract fish and stimulate some form of feeding response.
Why not look at the bigger picture if this substance becomes mainstream?
You can buy it in from China without a prescription. There's talk of a hormone used in cattle and horse breeding but it only takes a look closer to our quarry to find fish hormones that do the same as mentioned previously. Just need a carrier oil and your well away. It's not hard to find what it is or it's use if you know where to look.

I do not think DMPT is harmful.
Everything used in a feed bait is supposed to be on the list of approved feed additives or feed items. That something is not on this list does not make it harmful. It might well be human feed grade or natural but as long as it is not on that list it is not to be used in something that is ingested by the fish.

I've not seen any proof provided either, surely common sense would dictate that putting hormones in a watery environment in whatever form is used to carry that hormone is a possible recipe for disaster especially so if herds of fish are in close proximity of suggested hormones? The only stuff I've found so far is the injected form of hormones for fish breading with the included papers quite clearly saying that this is harmful.
