What defines old, how many years? Asking as most of my stuff is older than younger Carpers but not old to me. Is that something that happens as you get older
My oldest stuff is match orientated as I took up carping in the late 80's but a lot of my Carp stuff is 90's/0's.

I picked up a pair of Rod Hutchinson Intuition 2.75lb rods (late 1990's?) for £35 off Gumtree and have used them almost exclusively this year, they've been lovely rods to use and the burgundy blank looks great. It's definitely made me start looking to older gear again.
I'm tempted to dig out my old swingtip rod that's not seen daylight in 30+ years for a bit of nostalgia.

Kickers straightening the angle of the reversed eye.
The best river landing net pole ever.
Original yellow gardner needle, now faded. The orange is a cheapo ebay one with the gardner needle insert. I love the needles in hi-vis, but not the gardner green!
Diy feeders.
These floats were a game changer, so much better than a torch beam.
Selection of Stewart tackle boxes.
Night light floats and home made swing tips using the Drennan tops.
Home made marker floats.
Home made spods.
Tfg 10ft compacts with daiwa emblems, diy quick drag and new line clips.
A "proper" bulk spool, great line.
Shimano Ultegra XT, super quality reels, stripped and serviced.
A great mono, early days before big game was available
Nev stove stand for coleman.
The kettle of 10,000 brews.

That's a 27 sized UL kettle with the heat-resistant black coating still intact
Did you know Trangia do a similar Kettle with the lids handle in stainless ,and not round plastic this is for using on an open fire, you can also purchase from Trangia removable wire handle protective sheaths,also for use on a grill or open fire..

I had to check, Kettle 25, 0.9 litre capacity, with heat resistant black coating upgrade
I even cleaned a small bit, might have started something here

As founder of TAS ,...What you do is leave the many yrs of brews on the base and sides of Kettle the rest of it ,you Autosol once a yr ..
I've sent a pic to JP ,hoping he'll put it up for me ..

I wash my Trangia 25 after use, but there's no way I am polishing it. I let my butler do the polishing.
