Out of curiosity I picked up a spool of 15lb/0.35mm from my local tackle shop.
After cutting off a 1m length and having a play I was pretty impressed - it does seem very limp for the diameter, although does look/feel a bit thicker than 0.35mm to my eye, and very low stretch compared to the technium I had on my spools.
I needed to respool owing to a incident with a paddle boat so decided to give the Kaizen a go and spooling it via a pencil through the spool it has gone on beautifully. Will hopefully get out Saturday night and test it in anger on but so far it seems a good product.

Interesting that its low stretch compared to technium. I always found that to be pretty low stretch

Used the 15lb for the first time this weekend, only at 15 wraps but felt like cotton compared to the cm90 I had on, cast better than it to, felt nice to touch and supple. It'll certainly do for a while.

Had 11 up to about 15lb, felt ok, I'd have liked to have given it the biggun but not really possible there. Majority of my angling is 15 wraps or less.

Can't be like subline, that stuff had more stretch than a pole elastic.
I'm hoping the kaizen is like the original technium that came in the metal tin. For some reason I remember it said on the tin that technium has 12% stretch . Be interested to know if korda would say what % stretch kaizen has

im a huge fan of techium. Would be great if something similar came out. But Kaizen is a different colour, different diameters, and not a 3 core mono so it doesnt have a lot in common with Technium

is the technium as good as it was when it first came out? I know it changed a few years back and was nothing like the original but then it was discontinued and I've not tried it since it came back on sale

ive been using Technium since early 2000s (silver tin days) and tbh, regardless of how its been packaged/labeled ive never noticed any difference (ive always used 12lb/0.33mm/0.32mm or 8lb/0.26mm ..... I didnt get on with the 15lb version)

Today I bought 1 Okuma Obsedian to try out.
New line on it
The shop owner told me that the Kaizen is more of a casting line, also very strong on the knot and good abrasion resistance, with the big difference vs the Touchdown being that the Touchdown sinks better and faster, so went with the Touchdown again since throwing far is no longer necessary (bait boat)
He also suggested Kryston Oblivion Super Grade as an alternative to both, maby gonne try that one if a buy more Obsedians if i like it
