Sorry for late reply I didn't notice them, I haven't decided yet, popped into angling direct but they didn't have any on the shelf to look at. Ended up buying a new landing net instead as needed a compact one for the scope bag!!
How do they feel on the rods? And have you caught using them yet?

Thanks guys for all the advice, some of the reels look great but at the moment are out of my price range, I'll try and get to some shops to have a feel of the others, and keep an eye on the selling sites.

No worries, I'd pretty much decided that I was going to get them anyway.
They arrived yesterday afternoon so I haven't had a chance to use them yet. I'm planning on christening them tomorrow. I've spooled them up already & first impressions are very good. Perfect size & balance for me. They feel high quality & more importantly they look the dogs undercarriage paired with the cork handle on the dwarfs!
I'll let you know more when I do.

Another vote for the Okuma 6000inc. I had a set of SS2600 with QD conversions etc, cost me £150 a reel. Took a while to admit to myself that the Okuma's at £135 for 3 were simply better in virtually every respect, so I sold the SS2600 and now have 6 of the Okumas.. I use them a lot for Barbel fishing, casting 4-8oz leads every 30-60 minutes and cranking them in against the Trent current and so far (2 or 3 seasons, can't remember exactly) they've all been faultless.

I had both as didn't like the colours of the cast'izm and couldn't tell any difference between performance. Just preferred the black and red colour.

I picked up some okuma in 6000 today after reading a lot between different reels for my 10ft setup.
After having them in my hand, they felt really good. I compared them in the shop with the shimano 5500 and tbh for less than half the price they where brilliant. Time will tell on longevity.

So my Daiwa's have had their cherry popped this morning with a nice 21.02 common. The clutch is crisp & responsive. I'm particularly partial to the sound of the clutch - if that's your thing. Obviously you don't have the QD so there's a small adjustment period if that's what you're used to. You can get QD kits for them if needed but I don't think I'll bother. They feel smooth & solid, balanced perfectly with my 10fts, I'm very happy with them so far.
