I used to really like his articles on Darenth Tip Lake. I remember him bivvied up in the Dry Dock, but like most of the anglers on that lake they were exactly welcoming if you weren't on the inside!

He was there at its peak, before carp fishing (and those lakes) went downhill.

It's a shame what happened to them lakes on the Darenth complex. There was a better way that would of taken time. But like a lot of things greed took over and short cuts were sought.

Loved the og Fishing Warehouse forum . . . other than the RMC forum, it was the effective predecessor to this one and we were all a bit high brow at the time (esp when Carp Forum appeared) until members dwindled / it finished and many (myself included) limped over to this site cap in hand / slightly embarrassed at our previous dismissive ways . . . . This is the only Forum I've really got on with. Had a dabble with the old RMC/Cemex forum always found that a bit Clique. Populated by the so called great and the good who seemed to dismiss this one as a bit beneath them. This one always been a bit more welcoming.And long may it continue.
